VanDusen Botanical Garden Doll Meet 2010
Glad that I was able to join a carpool with Bluestarbaby and 2 friends to go to the meet at VanDusen Botanical Garden!
I brought Himitsu and Mirin with me and the theme of the doll meet was Masquerade + Summer
I almost completely forgot that I should make the mask until the last couple hours before I went to bed the night before ^^; so quickly made a couple with white card stock ^^;
When I got home, completely knackered, I tried to edit some photos, and photoshop crashed my laptop due to having to open too many photos :P I ended up not editing everything — it got a bit too late ^^;

The nice thing about big doll meets is there’s often sales or trades happening, either it be someone’s closet clean out or wanting to find something or even promoting some hand made items, it’s nice to save on shipping or be able to see something in person before buying ^^

The room was rather crowded, but it does not deter some owners from dressing up for the theme! There was a contest going on too :)

It got really sunny and bright some point in time, and funny enough sone of the better photos I feel are taken under the shade!

That looks like a lot of fun and the casual trading could be a great way to find new items. I should look into a local meet. Actually, I might be meeting up with fellow DD fan TsunamiDelta sometime this week ^^
I really enjoy going to different places to take photos and meeting different type of dolls, was hoping to infect more people to be interested in Dollfie Dreams too! XD I hope you guys have a great time :)
Alright first things first, I’m in love with Himitsu’s outfit. I would like to go to a doll meet, if only once, to experience the swapping and trading of stuff.

Nice photos! Himitsu and Mirin look very cute. They do look like sisters having the same eyes. ^^
It’s funny how during an outdoor shoot you can think the moments with sunshine will give you the best photos compared to those made in shade/cloud cover and then when post-processing you’ll see that the best ones are actually from those not made with such sunshine. XD
Heehe I actually prefer slightly overcast days, but the sky may not look as nice lol The direct sunlight can be too harsh on the doll’s face, ruining the picture ^^;
