Mirai photographs cherry blossoms
I remember when I just got Mirai, I took her out to take photos of poppies! Today I took her out to take photos of the cherry blossoms :) The flowers were so fluffy and the weather was quite perfect despite a bit cold. These series were rivalling the school girl series!

This was one of those days where it’s cold, probably windy and strong light but I feel like if I don’t go out and try to take advantage of the weather and the sakura, I will regret it!
Mirai School girl in spring!
I am very pleased with this series of photos, I remember it was a really cold and quite windy late afternoon, and I checked the tree near our home and realised it had started to bloom (supposedly blooming for the last time this year before it will be chopped down due to development)
Monica in Steveston :D
I remember walking out in the beautiful but cold afternoon, quite certain I could have some decent photos taken! Monica is a custom blythe lovingly created by Ellis of WabiSabiDolls. She is definitely my current go to when I want to grab a blythe doll out for photos and such :)
The irony of this series of photos is that for some reason I didn’t take too much at the location I wanted to due to the sunlight being unfavourable for a nice shoot ^^; The light was quite strong and the angle was odd which cast a lot of harsh shadows on Monica’s face.
So I ended up walking around trying to find other backdrops ^^; Monica is wearing clothes which I had made, the caplet is a test version so the fit still can be adjusted, perhaps in future >_<;
Came across this large Holly bush, feels perfect except it’s not Christmas anymore XD

Spring 2016
These photos are taken on 22 February, when my spidey senses told me that the earlier spring blossoms were coming out! It was still quite cold at the time that was why I dressed Mirai as appropriately as I could manage ^^ Unfortunately I couldn’t get more of the lovely pink fabric used for the caplet… >_<;

Spring is one of my favourite seasons in Vancouver, after a long cold and grey period, the colourful flowers are ready to come out, so are my dolls lol!
Out and about with Mirai smart doll
There are two different type of doll collectors (at least I think) one type buys the doll, stores it for display only, I’m the kind who take my dolls out for photos!
On a nice sunny (and slightly breezy day) I decided to take Mirai Smart doll SDMV out for a “test drive” to see how it feels to take her out for photos :) What is Smart doll? I was really excited when I found out that Mirai comes with a telescopic stand which we can plug into the back of the smart doll. Usually with the regular doll, during a breezy day or on uneven surfaces, it is quite impossible to pose the doll without the big risk of having the doll “face plant” and get hurt. Imagine the pain when the doll is scratched or damaged! When doing doll photography usually we have the camera and other equipment with us to take care of, and not having an extra stand (which may not work out) to worry about is a plus!
Saya blossom hunting in Steveston
Since the blossoms usually only last about a week, weather pending, when I had to head out on my bike to run some errands on a nice afternoon, I decided to take Saya out along with me for a photo shoot ^o^
Taiga, Winter 2013
Dragged Taiga out with me when I went to run an errand on my Strida Mini bike today ^^; It was a magnificent day, rather cold but not windy, so I can bike out after bundling up ^^; Taiga obviously isn’t pleased about the cold tho :P
