Kinkaku ji

We went to Kinkaku-ji in Kyoto on a public holiday in Japan (23 Nov 2011)… Terrible idea!  Not only there’s a LOT of tourists, there’s a LOT of locals visiting too ^o^; It was “people mountain people sea” – a direct translation of a chinese saying… :P

Husband said it felt like there’s 10,000 people in the park with us >_< a lot of the pathways are almost always full of people, it was stressful, ^^; I think I was so stressed I couldn’t smile when I was in pix :P

Some point in time, some random lady asked me how much Aki is, I just say too much :P she guessed $1000? I said again, too much… LOL

And someone tried to take a picture of Aki from behind me without asking and I felt someone being too close inside my personal circle, so I tried to turn Aki towards me. The person (a woman) poked me with her finger (UGH) to get me to let her take a picture… I wasn’t too pleased really, even tho she said thank you after  she took a photo ^^;

The weather was kinda grey, but I guess at least it was not raining or windy, or it will be quite impossible to take any decent photos at all ^^;

But I’m glad I was able to take Aki there in her new outfit ;P

The posing is not super creative as I couldn’t put her down ^^; There was no space to stand too far away from her and I don’t want anyone trying to grab her and run, or touch her without asking me ^^;

Below is my favorite photo ;P

I was able to take most of these pictures as I could hold Aki over the fence nearer into the trees ^^

Hope you enjoyed these pictures :D

    Gorgeous looking Aki, that Kimono is really nice.

    Such a shame you had a stressful time, I must say it was worth it really like the pictures. Aki + kimono = <3!

      Luckily Aki was a great model despite the stress XD we didn’t stay too long there, we got there a bit late- after lunch so as soon as the sun started setting we fled :P

    Nice! Aki in kimono with that setting is superb! ^^

    Makes you wish you could go back there on a calm day and take your time snapping photos of her.
    (Shame some people were a bit pushy about your DD, then again think that in Japan at least most will be polite and respectful about it, in such a mass here people would probably be quite horrible and damage the DD.)

      haha indeed, the person who poked me was definitely a tourist, she said thanks in mandarin :P As for the one curious about the price, she was asian but spoke english so… LOL I also overheard someone said (in mandarin) to “ask to grab the doll for a picture” =_= Luckily they didn’t I’d have said “no, go away!” :P
