Remember my brief mention earlier this month about a charity related sewing I got myself into? I managed to finally pack up the finished items (made little by little over time) and sent them out last week. The sets reached Gina Garan, organizer of this particular dress drive safely today (woot!)

Flowers and Clovers

Only managed to take some quick indoor lighting pictures before I packed up the dress sets (oops) but if you’re interested in viewing my creations…

Lemonbuttercup looking like a vase holding some tulips ;P

Feels like I haven’t sewn in a long time ^^; Sometimes before I sew an actual item I want to make, I need some “warm up” sewing ^^; I picked a friend’s pattern she generously shared on flickr to try out :) Warm up sewing usually means it’s not perfect lol!

A couple of beautiful hand made dresses arrived in the mail!  They are carefully made by joeykblythe and were meant for my Lati yellow dollies, but 2 other dolls actually jumped into them faster than speeding bullets ^^; Picture above was taken after I made those 2 take them off (you believe me? lol)

Below is a photo of Clover, the little lambie hand puppet for 11-12 inch tall dolls —  he could also be a finger puppet for humans! Clover belongs to Daisy, a custom blythe doll more back story here.

I know Blythe dolls are not everyone’s cuppa tea, but since they got me started on my dolly obsession hobby, I really have no reason to not feature them every now and then, even tho I have started owning some other types of dolls, like Licca, Mamachapp, Dollfie Dream etc.  Today I am going to feature some current photos of my visiting blythe and her little companion, Daisy and Clover. Daisy currently belongs to a dear friend of mine living a few hours drive away, I originally conceptualised, customised and sew most of her outfit to enter a Blythe Beauty Contest held by CWC in Japan.

Lots more photos!

They have reached their new home with their new owner, who happened to be someone lovely I know XD this is a photo taken by her new owner which I got permission to post up ^^/
So good to see her out and about lol her hair and eyelashes look like they have a story to tell!

I haven’t had much dolly time these days, but finally last weekend I took Luna out :)
Don’t mind her older get up lol no time to make new clothes and I’m running a bit low on doll funds ^^;

Time sure flies! My husband was reminding me that I haven’t updated this site for a while (oops) Sorry about that! ^^; Just been really busy that is all! I do miss my dolly time tho ;_; While I do not have much time to sew very much these days, I still play with my dolls once in a while :) I will be posting some pictures I took of some of my dolls here for now, until I get more time to do sewing again ^^;

On another note, Daisy and Clover has been auctioned off via yahoojapan thru the Princess a la mode Charity Auction and we’re very pleased that she’s going to a wonderful home in Canada! (WOOHOO!)

Daisy and Clover will be auctioned off during the last batch of the Princess a la mode Charity Auction, which is from June 16 – June 22. For more information and details on where the proceeds goes to, be sure to watch blythedoll.com closely!

This year I am unable to take part in the blythe beauty contest due to various personal reasons, I missed Daisy and Clover so much ;_; The experience last year felt like a dream, a wonderful dream at that, I hope to be able to take part again in future! I would like to give heartfelt special thanks to Natsuko and Tibiloo for letting me know of Daisy and Clover’s recent status :)

If you couldn’t make it to the Blythe beauty contest of 2007 and wish to watch it in the comfort of your own home, here’s your chance! “Let’s go blythe” DVD can be purchased via Juniemoon online shopping or ebay :D And you will get to see Daisy and Clover being walked down the runway at Princess a la mode at Omotesando Hills, among the other wonderful winning custom dolls by people from all around the world!

I am really trilled to get my copy and very happy to see the wonderful animation of Princess a la mode in it, I still remember watching it live at the contest and exhibition and couldn’t stop myself weeping as the story strongly tugged my heartstrings!

The DVD includes a demo on how to custom blythe, within the rules for the next “Natural Beauty Contest”! It also feature the finalists of the Beauty contest interview, Princess a la mode Charity Fashion Show, Bahashishi special live performance and more!

Dedicated to our santa’s little helpers!

This pattern is made to fit blythes, feel free to adapt it for other dolls!
You will need to use fabrics with a slight stretch for this particular project. You can also make a sleeping cap from this pattern. Use your imagination! :D
