Aram doll G by Atomaru

I discovered this adorable vinyl doll Aram doll G by a korean maker on flickr when some of my doll friends posted some photos!

I was hesitating to get her, as my budget was super tight when I was presented the chance to get her… but I really loved the photos I have seen of her and finally caved…

I was very lucky that I was able to buy one! Unfortunately currently the blond and red hair dolls Aram “B” and Aram “G” are currently sold out, I believe there’s an up coming design(s) in production at the moment, I hope the makers will make an announcement eventually!

I believe these dolls are hand painted, giving it a very vintage feeling — kinda like vintage Licca/Jenny dolls :) I really like her shapely legs and her body is very interesting construction as well.

This doll is very small compared to most of the dolls which I own, making her quite easy to carry. I was glad she was able to fit into my smaller purse :3

When the doll is small, it’s also less likely to attract attention haha!

It is fun to be able to make an illusion of the doll being in human scale too!

I made the winter jacket she’s wearing, one thing about smaller doll clothing, it does not mean they’re easier to make — there’s usually same number of pieces compared to the bigger dolls like Dollfie Dream for example, and turning corners and sleeves can be a headache ^^; That is why hand made clothing of a smaller size can cost as much,  as Dollfie Dream clothes ^^;

Her lovely bag is a re-ment bag I scored from a blythe meet last year :) her boots is also a Blythe size boots, but her feet is different compared to blythe/barbie feet.

Initially when she just arrived, I had an issue with her nose LOL

I find that the bridge of her nose is a little too big for my preference — it can cast an unattractive shadow on her cute face :P

But after I took her out and taken some photos, I think I can tolerate it :P

Thanks for looking, and those who were patiently waiting I hope to start some sewing soon >_<;;;

    Awww, she is a total little cutie… I love how she does have that vintage feel, but with a very modern cuteness to her!

    Congrats on getting her!!!
