Thinking of Japan

Really concerned about the situation in Japan and thinking of all our friends there!  Saw the quake related news on twitter as it unfolded, really terrifying even tho we were not physically there… Thank goodness we have heard back from most of our friends and also know that most acquaintances are at least safe as well…

Donated to Red Cross, hope to be able to do more later if possible! A friend of mine has decided to sew to do a fund raising to donate, I hope to do that too, will post more information when I’m ready!

Seeing what happened to Japan is really sobering to be honest, since where we live we’re not safe from earthquake either. Keep hearing that we’re way over due for a big one which is quite worrisome…

We live very near the water… and can only imagine what may happen if in the event a big earthquake hits :/ Recently husband gave me a briefing about the emergency kit and such… to be honest, I hope we’ll never need to use it…

A friend (who’s a vet assistant) told us that in case of emergency we may need to have a bag or 2 (draw string bag, size of pillow case) to catch/contain our likely very frightened cats in time of emergency and make an escape, rather than carrying carriers with whatever supplies to a safety area.

Thanks thelittlemushroom for the blythe dresses, and hanging out with us :)

Really cherish the simple things especially now. And wishing for the safety and strength of everyone affected by disasters…

    Honestly it’s been quite the weekend… I’ve seen way too many things that’s going on, but I still can’t imagine what’s really going on there. It must be worse than what I’ve heard or seen. Hard to live our own daily life when there’s people who can’t live their lives there… I wish them a speedy recovery and, being selfish here, hope that we don’t experience the same here…

      It has indeed been quite a weekend ^^; I think no one wants to experience the living hell they are going thru right now =_=; I only hope we are ready if we ever ever have to experience the wrath of mother nature… >_<;
