Adventures with Aki 2

I had been itching to take a doll out when the tide is low at Gilbert Beach, where I took my Strida Mini before.

Yesterday afternoon finally kicked my butt to do so :P  Interestingly enough, the brown patch under the trees in the background above is actually dried grass, not sand lol!

Really glad we went out tho, managed to take some nice photos :) The top is a test piece made ages ago, bottom is another test piece which the waist band area turn out a bit too large ;_;

It feels like Autumn is creeping up on us slowly, the mornings and evenings have definitely been colder… Afternoons when it’s sunny it can get warm and muggy tho.

So cuuuuuuute <3!

Too bad this top cannot hide the joint on the torso :Pd

Lookie no stand! :P

It’s a pity that there’s not much dry flat sandy area… the sand looks kinda dark and muddy so I didn’t want to put Aki on it…

Aki hangs around on the dry logs strewn around the beach XD

Glad that I had a reflector to bounce light into her face :) It helped a bit, to make the shadows less harsh, and oh yes I changed her eyes back to the parabox anime eyes… Think I prefer this pair on Aki ^^

Below is a shot which the reflector worked wonders in softening the shadow on her face!

Omake: Thanks Strida Mini for making our trip out a lot faster lol

Picture below taken by the LX3, luckily it wasn’t too windy… a bit nerve wrecking to have Aki balancing like that tho :P

Aki got a quick wipe down with mild soapy paper towel and a 2nd wipe down with damp paper towel when we got back :P

      that top was PITA to make :P It’s also not finalised — the bottom under the ruffles is kinda messed up LOL that’s why my girls get to keep :P

    Thank you very much for advice, but my dollfie didn’t touch any thing, I guess they can get stain at the time you’d least expect it. = v = ;;
    T should be more careful. Again thank you for the advice

    Awww! Aki looks so cute! Also I need your help, when I was modifying my dollfie’s head outside, I came back inside only to find a green spot on her face i not sure how it was caused. TT ^ TT sorry for my bad spelling. If you have any experience some tips would help.

      hmmm I’m not sure what could have caused the green spot, is it very big spot? I’m not a professional face-up artist so I don’t dare to advice =_= I don’t want to tell you something and damage your doll :P

        No it was small but you can still see it. I think that it was caused by being near trees but, I don’t think that dollfies can get stained that fast when being near trees or grass.

          actually yes they can ^^; I had friends who placed their DD on grass and they got grass stain on legs :P I think they used Mr. clean eraser to gently rub it off…

    Aki is so lovely, and the reflector did wonderful! You can tell how the shadows have been made less harsh :)

    The test pieces look adorable too, and you’re right, if you could make the top so that it covered her joint, it would be perfect… so cute!!!
    … and omg… I’m jealous that those are just “test pieces”… your skills are amazing.

      Thanks~! The flaws of the top is mostly under the ruffles :P otherwise it’s okay for general photos ^^ the annoying part of the top is actually the ruffles lol!
