I posted some photos on figure.fm as well, there’s a polling going on, right at this moment the preference is 50-50 lol!

My husband thought they look like angels, and asked me where are their wings :P

I brought Himitsu and Mirin with me and the theme of the doll meet was Masquerade + Summer

I almost completely forgot that I should make the mask until the last couple hours before I went to bed the night before ^^; so quickly made a couple with white card stock ^^;

When I got home, completely knackered, I tried to edit some photos, and photoshop crashed my laptop due to having to open too many photos :P I ended up not editing everything — it got a bit too late ^^;

The nice thing about big doll meets is there’s often sales or trades happening, either it be someone’s closet clean out or wanting to find something or even promoting some hand made items, it’s nice to save on shipping or be able to see something in person before buying ^^

The room was rather crowded, but it does not deter some owners from dressing up for the theme! There was a contest going on too :)

Thanks to the initial results of the voting on figure.fm, and overwhelming feedback on twitter (haha I exaggerate a bit XD) I decided to make a few more of the gingham bikinis ^o^!

In fact  I don’t have much of  the fabric left ^^;;;; So this is likely the last of the lot for now, until I find/buy more of that fabric. ^^;

Also please be warned, please do not let your Dollfie daughters wear the coloured bikinis over weeks without checking! My girls wear it for 1-2 days with no problems, but they’re also mostly in a room with no windows — no direct sunlight.  And weather in Canada is generally dryer than in Asia, I wish to make clothes which do not stain dollfie dreams, but it is proving very difficult :( And always a hit and miss!

Too bad we don’t have a girly hat with a large rim to shield Mirin from the sun… time to make one? ^^;

She’s wearing a top made for DDII normal body, for M-bust, but the material stretches to fit her L-bust ^^

Managed to squeeze her feet into the pair of MSD sandals which happened to be too big for my MSD and Taiga (MDD)’s feet. How ironic ^^; Mirin stood on her own for a little while without a stand ^o^

Quite pleased with how some of the photos turned out, despite a little overexposed due to that the light was a little harsher than I preferred.

But you know, I cannot complain really, at least I don’t have to wear thick layers of clothes just to take some outdoor photos ^^;

Really like how the plants serves as a background for Mirin – mainly wild daisies and weeds.

The weather is quite suitable for the weeds to grow tall very quickly…

These bikinis are made with a pattern drafted for the M-bust DDII body, but I found out that if the material I used is stretchy enough it fits the L-bust and DDdy hips somewhat as well.

Below is Himitsu in white with blue polka dots – M-bust, and Mirin in pink with white polka dots – L-bust.

The large bust and upwards the bikini top shoes the “under bust” (Or shita pai ^^;)

Below is Mirai in stripes – Dynamite normal bust, Nyanko in gingham – Dynamite limited edition bust.

Have to let Mirai stand a bit more forward as her face is a lot smaller than Nyanko’s ^^;

Nyanko and Himitsu looks a bit more balanced with similar colour hair and face size?

Wanted to make/list some bikinis before the summer’s over ^^; Sorry to have kept everyone waiting!

I ran out of some trims, hope to buy some soon ^^;/ Hope you like these!

The idea is inspired by Matin sensei of Atelier Matin. But this time instead of a really nicely made sofa kit kindly provided by Matin sensei, I built the base with pieces of foam glued together.

Behind Mirin is the the original sofa which I built last year from Matin sensei’s kit ^^/

Mirin approves :P She likes that she can put her tea down on the arm rest ^^

Vivi (Mamachapp) Is 1:6 scale so it was not possible to have Dollfie Dream girls share the armchair with her ^^;

The design of the armchair is made with some reference to the shape of our actual Ikea couch at home :3

As I am not very experienced or skilled with cutting the foam, the armchair’s base is not perfectly cut (oops). Luckily the fabric and cotton sheets somewhat hides it ^^; I also think I could have done a better job with tucking the fabric tho!

After the foam pieces is formed, then parts of it are padded with cotton sheets, then a layer of fabric cut to shapes required are tucked into specific corners with a tool. I think I need some legs for the chair lol!

I’ve always been rather curious how they look on Dollfie Dreams. The blue eyes in the photo below is Mirin’s default eyes :3 (Animetic Eyes / F Type / Bright Blue (RURI)) the other 2 are some spare eyes which my friend kindly brought out for us :)

It was quite amusing to sit around and do our doll stuff in the food court :P we got some curious stares as usual, but today was not too busy at the mall since it closes at 7 pm ^^; The brown eyes look a little big too huge I guess ^^;

Gyah the lighter colour eyes is not working out lol

Later Mirin even borrowed the eyes my friend’s doll was using ^^;

This size probably look the most normal on her it seems, on photos the colour is a little too intense for me tho!

My friend Nurie’s Sonatine (Volks super dollfie) ^^/ She looks great in the Enchanted Doll Eyes ED Eyes No. 22.

I was intending to finish taking product shots last friday, but I overshot my schedule when I was sewing the shorts for DDII =_=;;

I almost forgot that a friend of mine from Singapore is visiting us this week and I’m sure everyone was busy on mother’s day weekend. :P As I type this entry I have to continue to prepare/tidy our place…

I will post about how I will list these items when I am moar ready, I do not want to make mistakes when I am overwhelmed or tired.  Thank you for your patience and understanding >_<;////

Took Mirin and Nyanko to a doll meet on Saturday, and managed to take some outdoor shots of them :D It was cloudy at first and turned into a gorgeous  sunny afternoon ^o^/

At the meet, Nyanko scored a lovely necklace from bluestarbaby ^o^Matches her outfit so well!  Thank you so much!

The hair band is by bluestarbaby too ;P I bought it at the last Doll meet ^^/

Skirt she’s wearing is a test version, I will probably tweak it a bit :3 it uses quite a lot of fabric when I cut it this way ^^;

Lovely Mirin came with me today, there’s another Dollfie dream, a fair skin DDH03 this time :D

Mirin actually borrowed somethings from Himitsu ;P LOL Can you guess what they are? :P

I did a joint order with Nyan for a couple wigs… They were rather cheap but hmmm I dunno, quite a bit of fly-away hair, I had to trim the back of the wig and put waterwax on the bangs before I can take any photo :P after trying it on Nyan then Himitsu, I think it looks better on Himitsu ^^; The white bag is from Build a bear (a present – waaah) I think, and it looks fabulous :3

The other wig went to Mirai chan

When I saw the tray with the eraser food, I WHOOPED and LOLed XD It’s hilarious as I couldn’t find it locally at the Daiso (Maybe I was looking at the wrong place) but I WAS looking for this XD! It was a lovely surprise :3

The tray is perfect for the waitress pose too ;P

Nyanko is testing out the other top design, no stains so far… Knock on wood ^^;

For the hard work, she got some tea… XD
