I still enjoy blythes and the wonderful work out there created by loving skillful hands out there :)  I think I am just lazy to take photos of them :P With so many choices of blythe doll clothing out there, I feel like I want to buy them rather than make them (oops!)

Today a package arrived from a dear friend whom I met thru our love for blythe dolls when I moved to Canada.  We have had many fun times and memories when we hang out time to time :) I remember once we were walking down the street, braving the cold to take photos with the blythe dolls in our hands and a couple went “CREEPY~~~” at our dolls ^^;

I was really amused when said friend responded to their taunting by pointing her blythe doll at them, and changed the blythe’s eyes (there are 4 colours and 3 directions) at them, freaking them out even more!  I think I’ll always remember this funny memory along with many others! :)

This friend of mine has moved to the states for a while now, but blythes, our love for fabric and the internet keep us in touch :) Below we have Joy and Daifuku (with MSR with Saffy’s hair) wearing the lovely dresses carefully made by thelittlemushroom :)

They maybe ignoring me because I haven’t gave them attention for a while ;_;

It’s around this time last year that me, Yuki and Mai took part in the Blythe Beauty Contest 2009 :) How nostalgic!

Before we got really busy with an out of town relative from Hong Kong, I made a date with Mai ^o^!

I did not bring my bigger dolls as I was taking the public transport, also I intended to shop for some fabric = heavy ^^; I brought Mokotan (suggested by husband), and a Petite Blythe (puppy on a date). Mai kindly brought Captain, her custom blythe along :)

We went to shop for fabric at Dressew, had dessert, then I hung out at Mai’s place to play dolls lol!

Blythe dolls are what got me started on this doll collecting hobby, and Haruko is one of the few customs I made :)

Custom work done:

• Hair is trimmed and layered.
• Face matted by sanding and buffing.
• Eyelids is airbrushed in pink and shaded with a dark brown like that of dark chocolate, same shade as her eye shadow.
• Blushy cheeks also applied with airbrush.
• Her light pink lips are a combination of airbrush and hand painted details, her lips and corners of her mouth has also been carved to give her a gentle sweet smile.
• Gaze is slightly corrected, and boggled and curly flirty eyelashes replaced her stock ones.
• Her pull string has been replaced and pull ring is customised with beads and satin ribbon roses.

Her eye chips are:

• Front: Turquoise green, Blue like clear skies
• Sides: Darkbrown with sparkles, and Orange with floral base.

It’s nice to have my blythes out from the box of prison, dress them and take photos :3

Himitsu maiddo chan helps me sort out the dollfie clothes…  Most are test pieces which they get to keep. Or some stuff exchanged with fellow dollfie owners…

…How does it get SO DAMN MESSY?  I’ll be sewing for a while, and eventually it would be time to make dinner.

I would stop everything and just close the door to the mess generated by the work in progress ^^;  Repeat…  After a while it will gets too messy for me to work efficiently ^^;

Yes yes, moar re-organizing is due, more clear boxes are acquired to replace some of the non see thru ones.

Probably will get another besta shelving unit in future, but will be stacking the boxes for a while for now.

Husband intervened (LOL) and helped me sort moar stuff out last nite :) and at the same time installed the Ribba picture ledges as my doll display shelf which as you’ll see are quickly taken over by all my blythe dolls ^^;

With all of these girls finally out from the prison of boxes, makes it easier to think about who to re-home ^^;

Talented Mai san made a very detailed test jumper which does not fit her Daiya the way she wants it to, so I asked her to let Taiga try it — I told Mai if it fits Taiga, I would like to get it from her ^o^!  The jumper is a bit loose but it made Taiga look so cute, like she’s a little kid :) I was a bit paranoid about staining, so I put a pair of tights on her before letting her wear the jumper. ^^

Taiga hung out with a couple other dolls today, one is Daiya, Mai’s current love :P Mai also made that lovely jumper which Daiya is wearing :D Taiga’s head looks very big here ^^;

The other is a blythe ;) I think her name is Nanakamado? :) We bumped into a blythe collector from Japan when we were preparing our dolls at the library! It was nice :D

While we were balancing our dolls and taking pictures, a curious passerby asked us to let him take pictures of our dolls as well :P

Our dolls look so tiny here ^^; Many people walked past nonchalantly tho lol!

It is nice to discover people who like dolls thru dolls!

I had a Mocha cafe and shared a chocolate cake and strawberry with Mai ^o^ The coffee was a bit sweet but I kinda liked the cake :3

I brought Taiga again :P Here she is in a funny pose lol! The jeans kinda made her legs bend like this, but she could balance and stayed like that for a while ^^;

Mai visited with her lovely dolls on tuesday evening :D The boy on Mirin’s lap is an Iplehouse BJD ^^ She named him Daiya, and I think he’s so pretty! heehee :P

All the girls want to hang out with him :P

The lovely blythe with pink hair is Miu :) She’s a “replacement doll” for our contest doll Glacier Lily which we decided to donate to charity (It was an option to do so for the semi finalists).

I need to take some better photos of her in day time =_=;/ I am paranoid about messing up her perfect factory bangs :P The blythe next to her is a Piccadilly blythe, she also have perfect bangs ^^/

Here is Miu and Lemonbuttercup (who was also the replacement blythe when my Daisy and Clover entry got into semi finals) Daisy and Clover are still visiting at the moment thanks to their kind current owner ^^/

Taiga got to go out again on one of the weekends (before I took Mirin out)

We were at Harvourside Place, and the evening sky is quite spectacular ^^

1) The event location OMOTE SANDO HILLS, there’s a HUGE Jimmy Choo store in it ^^; Was in a hurry so didn’t take a photo ^^;

2) Other than online voting, you could physically go to the exhibition, check out all the contest dolls and do a written vote.

3) One of the activities of the private event is Auctioning off some of the limited Blythes available only thru Lottery either online or in Japan. Proceeds are donated to a chosen Charity organisation – a Thai orphanage this year.

4) I love those huge banners decorating the walls so much! And as you can see there’s many people taking part in the party ^o^
